Importation into Switzerland

Import customs declaration e-dec web

Since 2012, e-dec web allows direct import customs declarations online, offering validation, templates, and is compatible with EU security initiatives.

Customs Tariff - Tares

Tares offers the possibility to search for a customs tariff and the applicable taxes and duties. It also provides information on tariff-related topics.

QuickZoll

With the integration of both VAT rates, QuickZoll becomes the ideal solution for most private imports. Declare your purchases easily in the app, cross the border where and when you want, at no additional cost.

Here you can view exchange rates for the current day or a specific date.

Road levies

Via – Pay lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) online

The Via Portal can be used to pay the lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) for vehicles that are registered outside Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein, regardless of time and place.

E-vignette

The electronic toll sticker (e-vignette) can be obtained via www.e-vignette.ch from the «Via Portal» of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS).

Information office for customs regulations

The information office answers general queries about customs regulations and procedures for private individuals and companies concerning matters such as importing a vehicle, moving to Switzerland, internet shopping, tourist traffic, plants and animals, etc.
