Organisation
The main task of the FOCBS is to protect the population, the economy, the Swiss state, and the environment. The DaziT programme leads to a comprehensive transformation of customs processes.

Operations at FOCBS
The Directorate of Operations at FOCBS is responsible for border security and control. With centralized strategic leadership and operational management across six regional levels, the team of 3,500 employees ensures comprehensive border monitoring.
Prosecution
Prosecution is the investigative body of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security. It has approximately 190 specially trained employees with judicial police powers and is responsible for combating serious cases of smuggling.
Other FOCBS directorates
Other FOCBS directorates develop the framework and support core tasks related to import and export. This includes risk analysis, planning, legal aspects, and support in IT and logistics.
