Moving: General information

If you are moving abroad and taking your household goods or furnishings (in the case of marriage) with you or having them delivered, you must comply with the relevant regulations. This also applies to inherited property.

The applicable regulations are to be followed if you move abroad and take household effects or wedding trousseaux (in the case of marriage) with you or have them delivered. This also applies to inherited goods. Household effects, wedding trousseaux and inherited goods include home furnishings, personal effects, cars, plants, animals, etc.

Other regulations apply for students and holiday homes. Please take note of the information according to the direction of transportation.

Opening hours and addresses for merchandise

Please note the customs office opening hours for the declaration (assessment) of merchandise. Declarations can be made from Monday to Friday during clearance hours; some customs offices are also open on Saturday mornings.
