For each day on which a Swiss vehicle subject to the PSVA demonstrably travels solely abroad, the holder will be entitled to a refund of 1/360 of the annual charge. For days on which the vehicle travels both abroad and in Switzerland, the refund entitlement is halved.
Refund requests are to be submitted to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security FOCBS, together with the corresponding trip controls, within a year following expiry of the charge period. The FOCBS can require further evidence.
A request below CHF 50.- will not be reimbursed.
For every day for which it is proven that the vehicle circulated only abroad, the driver has the right to a refund of 1/360 of the annual tax. For every day which the vehicle circulates abroad and in Switzerland half the refund may be reimbursed.
Refund requests together with the control forms for the corresponding journeys must be submitted to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security FOCBS no later than one year after the end of the payment period. The FOCBS reserves the right to request further evidence.
A request below CHF 50.- will not be reimbursed.
