Change of Swiss number plate

In Switzerland, vehicle owners can change their number plate once a year via the Via portal. Information such as the new number plate and confirmation that the vehicle and owner remain unchanged is required.

Then click on the pencil icon to make the change:

If you cannot make the correction yourself, e.g. because you no longer have a ticket, you can submit an application using this form if you still have the «Receipt - Via».

IMPORTANT: You must enclose relevant documents, e.g. the old and new vehicle licence, insurance policy or similar.
