FOCBS - Update on the transition to NCTS Phase 5 – Completion of corrective measures
. Dear Sir or Madam, Since January 22, 2025, we have been continuously analyzing and addressing technical challenges related to the Europe-wide transition to NCTS Phase 5 on January 21, 2025. The majority of the initially identified issues have now been fully resolved. A few remaining minor cases have been analyzed and will be addressed shortly. Given this progress, there are no longer any significant restrictions. Consequently, the use of the contingency procedure is now discontinued with immediate effect. PSVA – Via App
The Via app, which was introduced in May 2019, will be discontinued at the end of 2024. Likewise, it will no longer be possible to pay the lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) for vehicles registered abroad using a paper form at the border. From 2025, only the Via Portal (web application) will be available for collecting the charge. Due to the revised legal basis, the «10 individual days» option will no longer be available from 1 January 2025.

Important Information: Planned Migration of Passar Infrastructure
Dear Sir/Madam, We would like to inform you about the planned migration of the Passar production environment to a new infrastructure. The migration will take place in two phases on the dates listed below, with only brief interruptions expected and no complete service downtime. Migration Schedule 1. Saturday, December 7, 2024, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM During this period, Passar services will be launched on the new infrastructure. The DNS entries will also be redirected to the new B2B Hub. 2. Sunday, December 15, 2024, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM On this day, the data sources for the services will be migrated to the new infrastructure. There will be a processing interruption of approximately 30 minutes by the B2B Hub between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM. Impacts During the migration, temporary delays in processing and receiving responses may occur. During the DNS switch on December 7, the B2B Hub may be briefly unavailable. Not affected by this migration: Chartera Output and Input systems. These systems will be migrated at a later date next year. Additional Information Final approval for this migration will take place internally on Monday, December 2, 2024. Should unforeseen circumstances prevent the migration from proceeding as planned, we will notify you by Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at the latest.
