Processing traffic
Inward processing traffic allows temporary duty-free importation of goods for processing, requiring authorisation. These goods may also be exempt from import VAT.
Processing traffic
Inward processing traffic involves the temporary importation of goods for treatment, processing, or repair. Instead of the normal import procedure, you may use this duty-free regime to save on customs duties and benefit from VAT exemption.
Customs refund in active processing procedure
Since January first 2019, the export contributions for processed agricultural products will be abolished. This change does not affect the special procedure of active processing. Applications can still be submitted with the usual accompanying documents.
Authorisation procedure for inward processing
The inward processing procedure requires authorisation, granted when no overriding public interests oppose it. Processing traffic for agricultural products is only permitted if the domestic supply is insufficient.
