    FOCBS - Update on the transition to NCTS Phase 5 – Completion of corrective measures

    . Dear Sir or Madam, Since January 22, 2025, we have been continuously analyzing and addressing technical challenges related to the Europe-wide transition to NCTS Phase 5 on January 21, 2025. The majority of the initially identified issues have now been fully resolved. A few remaining minor cases have been analyzed and will be addressed shortly. Given this progress, there are no longer any significant restrictions. Consequently, the use of the contingency procedure is now discontinued with immediate effect.     PSVA – Via App

    The Via app, which was introduced in May 2019, will be discontinued at the end of 2024. Likewise, it will no longer be possible to pay the lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) for vehicles registered abroad using a paper form at the border. From 2025, only the Via Portal (web application) will be available for collecting the charge. Due to the revised legal basis, the «10 individual days» option will no longer be available from 1 January 2025.
