From 1 January 2025, significant changes to the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act will take effect. The centralised settlement procedure will be simplified, and new interest rates for federal taxes and levies will be introduced. These initiatives aim to streamline customs processes and enhance fiscal liquidity.

How does the centralized billing procedures works?

CSP Procedure

From January 1, 2025, changes to the Debt Enforcement and Bankruptcy Act will affect the recovery of public law claims. The CSP procedure of the FOCBS enables quick and cashless customs processing.

Opening a CSP account

From 2026, current CSP accounts will be replaced by the Passar 2.0 system with the BP ID as an identifier. Importers and freight forwarders are advised to join the centralized accounting procedure. A registration declaration and security deposit are required.
