On the Via Portal of the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS), you can pay your road traffic charges conveniently online and even before you start your journey.

Via allows, among other things, the lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) for vehicles such as heavy motorhomes or coaches that are registered outside Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein to be paid quickly, easily and independently before entering the country. This can be done at any time and from any location.

Via Portal

Since the beginning of 2023, foreign users are able to pay the lump-sum heavy vehicle charge (PSVA) directly via the Via Portal (web application) using an internet-enabled device.

Registration is not mandatory to use the Via Portal, as receipts can also be sent by e-mail thru the Via Portal. However, registration offers the advantage of centralised ticket storage. This means that users can access their tickets at any time, regardless of the local browser cache and the end device used.

The receipt does not have to be carried on paper or on an end device.
