Privacy statement

The privacy statement outlines what data is collected and processed using QuickZoll, such as the number of travelers and declared goods, and the purposes for collection.

Data collection: what data is collected?

QuickZoll collects the following data and transmits it to the Federal Office for Customs and Border Security (FOCBS):

Data necessary to operate the app

  • Number of travellers
  • Declared goods
  • Levy amounts
  • Time window
  • Receipt number
  • Date
  • Your comments
  • Your email address
  • The iOS or Android version (on your smartphone or tablet)
  • The app version
  • The language used in the app

Anonymised usage data (Dynatrace)

  • Device information – model/software version
  • Device status – battery status, RAM usage
  • Connection information – IP address (anonymised), mobile phone standard (WLAN/4G/3G/...)
  • The point in time at which use of the app started

  • Crash report (dati tecnici in caso di arresto dell’app o processo di pagamento non riuscito)
  • Durata di utilizzo dell’app
  • Durata fino al pagamento dei tributi all’importazione

The user can adjust the transmission of this data at any time under «Information» in the app.

Data processing

Data is processed in compliance with data protection legislation. The data collected is kept for a maximum of six years from the date of collection. It is destroyed after expiry of the retention period, unless it is archived. Archiving is governed by the Archiving Act of 26 June 1998 (SR 152.1).

Permissions (access rights)

The data collected is accessible to the FOCBS employees. The system developers of the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication, and external system administrators have access to the data where necessary.

Transmission of personal data to third parties

Unless otherwise provided, the FOCBS treats any information that is not generally known as confidential. In principle, third parties do not have access. However, the FOCBS reserves the right to disclose this data to the relevant authorities, in particular in the context of administrative and mutual assistance requests.

Responsibilities

All disputes arising in connection with the use of the QuickZoll app are subject exclusively to Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Bern.
