If you import objects containing precious metals to Switzerland, you must report all shipments to a Precious Metal Control Office.
If a consignment is marked as ‘blocked’ by the selection process, the person required to reg-ister must send the necessary documents to the relevant Precious Metals Control Office (PMCO).
The PMCO decides as part of the formal review whether a control will be carried out.
