Covid-19: Support measures for businesses

As a corporate client of the FOCBS, we offer the following measures to ease your burden:

  • Deadline extensions and instalment payments taking account of your financial situation
  • Reimbursement of cash deposits in the event of too much security being provided

You need to consider the following

In the event of payment relief:

Note:

Due to the "exceptional situation", the Federal Council decided on 20 March 2020 to waive interest on arrears on taxes, incentive fees and customs duties until 31 December 2020 (SR 641.207.2). However, as of 1 January 2021, interest on arrears is again owed on claims that are paid late. This also applies to claims that are part of an approved payment extension or instalment facility agreement.

Please contact the Finances Division if you wish to obtain payment relief (e.g. deadline extension, instalment facility).

The maximum extension is 60 days from the net due date.

In order to benefit from payment relief, you must complete the following form, propose a deadline/instalments and send the form to info-finanzen@bazg.admin.ch

Deadline extensions apply only to the invoice numbers stated in the request.

Requests are processed free of charge.

In the event of a reduction in security (cash deposit) due to excess security being provided:

In principle, a refund is possible only if you paid all previous invoices on time and can pay future invoices within the regular timeframes (Customs 5 days, VAT 60 days). Submit your request with the following points to info-finanzen@bazg.admin.ch:

  • CSP account no.
  • Amount by which you wish to reduce the cash deposit
  • IBAN for any refund

If you would like to reduce the security (cash deposit) for areas other than e-dec assessments (e.g. domestic taxation of mineral oil, open customs warehouse), please contact the relevant area directly.
